  • After studying political economy and art history, he joined in 1972 the team responsible for the creation of the Center Pompidou, he founded and then directed from 1981 to 2006 the Cabinet of Photography, bringing together a collection of photographs. of the 20th century which has become, by its quality, one of the first in the world.
