Alan EGLINTON

Korean Curatorial Team: Photobook Exhibition Curator

Alan Eglinton is a British visual artist based in Seoul. He holds an MFA in photography from the French National School of Photography. His work has been exhibited at Galerie Madé (Paris), as part of the Mulhouse Photo Biennale and at the Palbok Arts Factory (Jeonju) and has been published by Poursuite Editions (Arles), Datz Press (Seoul) and Martianstory (Daegu). His projects bring together photography and short texts and the photobook is one of the main outputs in his creative practice.

Alan is also the director of the Same Dust photobook store and publishing imprint in Seoul. Same Dust publishes artists' books with a focus on photography and works on paper. “Uta” by Vika Množina Hashimoto (2025) and “Love Outside” by Michaël Blin (2025) are two of its most recent releases and are the result of careful discussions between the artists and the publisher to find designs and materials that align with the content of their projects.

The Same Dust bookstore proposes a selection of photography and illustration books by both “small” and big publishers from all over the globe, with a particular attention to publications presenting original and challenging designs.
