Jane Jin KAISEN is a Korean-Danish artist whose work combines visual art and anthropological research to explore memory, migration, and borders. Born in Jeju and adopted to Denmark, she uses video, installation, and photography to reflect on personal and collective histories. Guston SONDIN-KUNG, an American artist based in Denmark, works in narrative experimental cinema with a focus on embodied performance and memory.
Their joint project In Storm’s Fold (2023) captures the drifting of sochang, a traditional Korean cloth symbolizing life and death, through a flood-stricken village in Jeju. The work evokes fading traditions, ecological crisis, and quiet resilience.
